Illustrator, visualiser and director Fabian
Kerkhoven has been active working on
audiovisual projects since the late 2010's,
using his projects as a vessel to continuously
explore and reconstruct his inner-world,
experimenting and meshing with diverse mediums
has led to a expressively sprawled self-portrait.
Growing up in Leiden(NL) surrounded by the rich students
he could not fit in anywhere, and completely detached
from any creativity, he was left to escape to a new environment -
influenced by the underground city life, the trenches of Rotterdam(NL)
and his disparate internet influences he patched together his imagination,
weaving himself into his projects - by himself or collaborating together
with other creatives.
Fabian's work is notoriously enigmatic; emotionally charged and cryptic visuals,
yet he is perhaps best described as an artists that find happiness by just
putting out a certain, peculiar energy, always attached to the idea of creating
something truly beautiful.
